A split personality is a psychiatric disorder that causes the sufferer's personality to divide into sub personalities, also known as alters.The alters have their own memory, and don't know of each other's existence.The development of multiple personality syndrome(MPS) is usuallly caused of severe abuse.Split personality is more of identity disorder rather than personality disorder.MPS is very rare, so not much research is done on it.And split personality is not schizophrenia.They are two very different things although always assume to be the same or similar.The most common form of schizophrenia is when the person things he is being controlled by another mind or "hearing voices".It is believed that schizophrenia is caused by genetic defects triggered by stress factors like depression, the death of a dear person, or other experiences that are hard to cope with.So don't go around telling people you have a split personality when you don't even know what it means.

Courtesy seems to be part of the Singaporean way of life.But recently, that has not been the case.It shows that the government's method of promoting courtesy with campaigns and all doesn't help everyone.The rude comments of you know who isnt what we were looking forward to.We are ignorant of the people around of us.I take the bus everyday to school.I go everywhere by bus.And sometimes im late for school not because i wake up late but b'cos of inconsiderate people in the bus who doesnt want to "go in" the bus.They take up 2 seats for themselves alone.They don't "go in" and although the bus always seems full, the back standing part is empty.I grew up with the courtesy campaign.I bet most of you did too.Maybe it was forced unto us, making us rebel.Maybe there weren't enough campaigns like that.Maybe we just don't listen and learn.Maybe we are just courteous to non-locals.Time for another courtesy campaign.
